There won't be any excuses for forgetting this anniversary. Mathew Illingworth and Erin Sandin tied the knot today on 12/12/12 at 12:12 p.m.

"We chose the date just because it's never going to happen again," Illingworth said.

"Right now, I'm anxious I guess, a little nervous, but a lot of excitement too," he said two hours before the wedding in Warman.

Illingworth and Sandin have known each other for about eight years and Illingworth's dad encouraged him to go with the 12/12/12 date because it was unique.

Illingworth said he couldn't wait to see his bride in her blue, wedding dress.

"Oh very excited," he said.

He was planning on sporting grey pants, a grey vest, a blue shirt to match her dress and a black tie.

Dave Isaak, the marriage commissioner who married the couple, said this was one of about 75 weddings he does every year, but this one was extra special.

"Weddings are always a happy time and this one will just add to the excitement," Isaak said.

Although, 12/12/12 is a unique day, Isaak said he was much busier for 08/08/08.

"I actually had two families from Edmonton drive out to Saskatoon for me to marry on that date because they couldn't get anybody (in Edmonton) any more."
